Matthew Amha is a reporter, host, and producer with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) where his reporting and commentary on politics, race, culture, and foreign policy have featured across the public broadcaster on television, radio, and podcasts. He has previously hosted THE AFRICAS vs AMERICA: a seven-part narrative documentary podcast on the Philadelphia-based MOVE organization, and the history-making state bombing of their home. Matthew has also hosted national news programs on CBC Radio One. His reporting has starred widely across national flagship programs such as The National, The Current, and the CBC's daily news podcast Front Burner, which he helped launch in 2019. His writing has also appeared on the front page of Canada’s national current affairs magazine, Maclean’s. Matthew arrived at the CBC as a recipient of the annual Joan Donaldson News Scholarship in 2018.

Matthew holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University, where he minored in communications.
